Hey y'all!

Funny enough, this adventure has been a real-life whirlwind. Let us introduce ourselves and give you a glimpse into our lives and our why.

Jamie and Lori are military wives who made fast friends after realizing they shared lots in common, including making fun of all the ways “Murphy attacks.” That’s military speak for getting a proverbial throat punch, the term used to describe the truly unbelievable things that seem to happen when moving to a new duty station, when your better half is deployed, is TDY, or in training. IYKYK.

Those stories make for some of the best memories and are often where you find your ride-or-die “friemily.” Military families know what it means to be far from relatives, so they create their own: friends who become family. BAM! Here we are. Jamie and Lori became friemily.

Our strengths complemented one another, and we became a fairly unstoppable duo on Team Get-Stuff-Done. Here’s the fun part.

Meet Jamie

Jamie is a native of the great state of Ohio. Her husband proudly serves in the U.S. Navy, and their family has lived in Mississippi, Washington state, and now California.

A mother of four, Jamie likens herself to Chandler from Friends: quick-witted, a bit sarcastic, but loyal and loving. Jamie’s favorite comic character is the one and only Groot. She’s an avid collector of Funko Pops and comics alike, and she loves movies. If she starred in a leading role, her famous line would be, “May the odds be ever in your favor.”

Jamie's ability to network and connect is second to none. If someone said "talk nerdy to me (about comics)" she's your girl. Jamie is amazing at bringing people together: artists with different abilities, publishers, writers, and more. It's full 5 stars impressive!

We are here to tell you that Jamie will surprise you with her knowledge about cars. She's always loved classics. Don't get us started about the out of state breakdown and great lengths we went to for her Expedition' repairs because she swore she'd drive it 'til the wheels fell off. Ha! In fact, she is now the very, very proud owner of a green 1964 Buick Skylark! It is her total dream car. My Cousin Vinny is also her all time favorite move. Ring a bell, anyone? And her Expedition is still her daily driver...repaired, ready to work, and no car payment.

Fun facts: Jamie has completed a half marathon in all 50 states! In college, Jamie majored in history and minored in biology; her degree led her to run a school in Mississippi. What keeps Jamie going? It's definitely not coffee. Surprise, right? Only hot chocolate for Jamie! Our time in Cali introduced her to the Abuelita brand of Mexican hot chocolate that fast became her favorite. That Groot cup on her desk never has coffee, y'all. Like never.

Meet Lori

Lori is a native of North Carolina. She grew up in the heart of NASCAR country with an up-close understanding that “boogity, boogity, boogity” meant let’s go racin’. She still operates in full send mode, lives on a lot of faith and the proverbial equivalent of $2 worth of gas; she was raised to refuse to quit because Semper Fi! (Thanks, Dad!)

Lori grew up working in the family truck repair and transportation business, later majored in biology, worked as a microbiologist in pharma, furthered her career in QC/QA, then in research and development. She was working so much her friends signed her up for online dating unbeknownst to her.

Lori swore she’d never date some guy in the military, much less an Army soldier. Little did she know she’d meet the absolute love of her life - said Army soldier - online and marry him three months from the day they first met in person. Lori has followed her husband from the East Coast to the West Coast, with a total of nine moves in 14 years. Lori's husband retired in 2025 and they're focusing on finding the best place to settle.

Also a mother of four, Lori is regularly compared to the fabulous Mary Poppins: her B-Positive personality is perfectly suited for rose-colored glasses and a little sugar when life's a bit bitter. When you get to know Lori, you quickly discover her epic hostess skills and her seemingly effortless ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. She genuinely cares about people and it shows. We can assure you that you won't be let down with one of her altered silly songs or epic, animated life stories. Lori will make you laugh till your face hurts.

While the world of comics is newer to her, Lori has a grand appreciation for it, and her kids are all hooked. We like to call Lori "Shadow Boss" because she's often killing it behind the scenes with her business acumen and tech skills.

Fun fact: Lori was apparently born with the “how hard can it be?” gene and has never met a home DIY project she wouldn’t attempt.

Why Bless Your Heart Comics?

Together, we’ve planned events, photo sessions, homecomings, surprise parties, moves, and cruises. Jamie’s idea sparked this whole venture, so here we are, bringing you art, fun, and hopefully some really great stories. What started as a light-hearted conversation is now closing in on it's third year of real business and the only way to go is up.

We both have a heart for military families. We hope to create homages celebrating military life and support causes near and dear to our hearts like Toys for Tots. We strive for excellence in customer service and genuinely listen to our fans to keep bringing you real art by real artists.

Our Comics, Artists, and Collector Editions

We’re an independent comic publisher and merch studio. Our releases are built around the fun of collecting: original stories, memorable characters, and cover art created in collaboration with named artists.

When a release offers multiple variants, each one is its own collectible edition. Product details identify the cover artist and the edition type, such as Color Paper or Color Foil. When a signed edition is available, the signature is part of the edition described on that product’s listing. That way, you can shop with a clear understanding of what you’re ordering and whose art you’re bringing home.

Our cover-artist collaborations have included Matthew Waite, Sean “Smunchy” Fallon, Damon “Nomad” Pellican, Tezco 13, Wes Coker, Elle, Sin Vikernes, Sean Forney, and Neil Cervantes and the list is growing. We’re proud to put artists’ names alongside their work and to give collectors a closer connection to the people who help make each release special.

Some releases are offered as pre-orders. If you’re ordering a pre-order, the product listing is the best place to check the expected release or shipping timing. We’ll send an order confirmation after purchase and a shipping notification with tracking when your order is on its way.
